Kristin Fisher is joining CNN in 2021. The reporter will serve as the Space and Defense Correspondent. In that role she is responsible for covering everything from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial space companies and the advent in space travel. Kristin is her mother was one of NASA astronauts as well as a space enthusiast, grew up immersed within the space industry. She worked for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump administrations. During that time, she also covered two impeachment trials for the president as well as the 2020 presidential campaign and two attempts by the administration to stop the coronavirus pandemic. Former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin has worked in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the network. She won one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS affiliate's single-man reporter. Kristin as a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentaries, with clients like Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., with her entire family, which includes their three-year-old daughter.
